“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God.” ~Micah 6:8

Here you will find information about the local and global service work that we have been called to do through Bethany Lutheran Church.

Local Service Opportunities

Prayer Shawls & Lap Quilts
Members and friends of Bethany knit or crochet prayer shawls and sew lap robes – which are given to people in the hospital, nursing home, or who are sick at home.

Prayer Chain

The congregation prays for individual’s in need due to health issues or life circumstances.  All people are welcome to request prayers on their behalf.

Giving Tree

Each Christmas season we are given a list of suggestions for an anonymous family in need from the Siren School District (the school counselor is our “go between”). These suggestions are written on ornaments which decorate a tree and members of Bethany take an ornament, purchase and wrap the gift, and bring it to church. It is delivered to the school just before Christmas.
